MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Medford police say a 14-year-old girl has disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

She is identified as Starla Carrero. Police said a search and rescue unit is looking for her, and the FBI is assisting the investigation.

Police said Monday she was at a skate park Saturday with her brother and his friend, but when their mother arrived to pick them up, she was not to be found.

The police said the girl was seen talking to two men, both white, one on a BMX bike, and the other wearing a black sweatshirt with a patch reading "DK" on the back.

The Medford Mail Tribune reported (http://bit.ly/W0EZEj ) her mother told police she didn't believe the girl was a runaway because her purse and skateboard were left at the park.
