KALISPELL, Montana - Three people on board a small plane survived after the aircraft went out of control and smashed into a house on Golden Eye Court just south of Kalispell.

According to CBS affiliate KPAX, a male pilot and two female passengers were in the plane when the accident happened just after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A KPAX reporter spoke with several residents in the neighborhood who watched the plane go down and they say the aircraft weaved between trees and houses and say it looked as if the pilot was trying to land on the road. But instead the plane went into a house.

Several of the eyewitnesses rushed to the plane to help the pilot and passengers who were trapped inside. Eyewitnesses tell us that the homeowner was inside the house during the time of the crash.

Kalispell Fire Chief Dan Dedman says the pilot and passengers refused medical attention at the scene of the crash, but later checked themselves in to Kalispell Regional Medical Center on their own accord.
