WASHINGTON D.C. -- An online petition on the White House’s “We the People” website urged President Barack Obama to update the national anthem.

Signers wanted to get rid of the Star Spangled Banner and replace it with Miley Cyrus’ hit “Party in the USA.”

The song released in 2009 is the 23rd most watched video on YouTube, according to Mashable.

The song details the girl’s move to Los Angeles and gives nods to rapper Jay-Z and singer Britney Spears.

The petition had over 700 signatures on Tuesday.  However, it needs at least 100,000 signatures for the White House staff to review it.
