SPOKANE, Wash. -- A juvenile male was arrested after a stabbing at the House of Charity in Downtown Spokane.
The stabbing happened Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. according to investigators. Officials said the stabbing victim was expected to survive.
Witnesses said the stabbing suspect, a 17-year-old juvenile male, was yelling that he was going to kill the victim. Officials said they found a male who had been stabbed with a butcher knife in the back of the head upon arrival to the scene.
Police said they quickly found the suspect and placed him under arrest for attempted first degree murder. He was sent to a juvenile facility.
Police are investigating what led up to the stabbing.
