SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities plan to investigate what exactly happened when a Spokane Police officer hit a pedestrian with his patrol car.

It happened late Wednesday near Browne and Second Avenue.

Investigators said the pedestrian was in the crosswalk as the officer made a turn.  The officer was going slow enough that it did not cause serious injury.

The pedestrian was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
