SPOKANE -- Limited parking at North Central High School is forcing students to find -- sometimes costly -- alternatives.
One student received a $271 towing bill after he parked in a nearby private lot. Another student had his car towed from the same lot at the family’s expense.
Some parents are frustrated, and are calling on the school to provide more parking.
Spokane School District officials said the district is not in a position to create any additional parking, and instead encourages students to car pool to avoid future problems.
North Central High School recently made more parking spaces available to students.
