OROFINO, Idaho-- The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Department investigated an explosion Sunday evening in Orofino.
Investigators said John Gould, 43, threw gasoline on a fire around 5 p.m. and the fuel exploded. They said Gould was severely burned in the explosion and later died from those injuries.
A life flight helicopter took Gould to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lewiston and then to Harborview Hospital in Seattle.
