SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police made an arrest in the stabbing that occurred Wednesday morning in North Spokane.
Spokane Police took 31-year-old Jack O'Brien into custody for an unrelated charge of driving with a suspended license. He was later booked into jail, facing charges for 2nd degree assault according to police.
The stabbing happened outside a home by a car on the 600 block of East Broad.Investigators said they believe the suspect and victim knew each other and got into some kind of altercation. The victim was stabbed five times according to police, none of the wounds were life threatening.
Acquaintances reportedly grabbed the knife out of the suspect’s hands and drove the victim to Holy Family Hospital.
Police are investigating the motive and relationship between the victim and suspect.
