SPOKANE, Wash. -- The public is learning more about Spokane’s suspected erotic spas.

Police busted more than a dozen of those spas in a July prostitution sting.

Investigators have been collecting details from the Johns in an expansive case since then. Newly released documents give some insight into what happened within the walls of an erotic massage parlor.

Informants told police they would walk in, a bell would ring and women would come out from the back.

Agents wrote in the documents, “He would pick one. Once he picked a girl, he would pay a door fee, which was $80 for an hour.” Then, the woman would escort him to the back.

The informants said Johns would then choose a rub down or a shower.

“If he took a shower, he would sometimes use the wet table. [He] explained the wet table to be a table in the shower room, where the girl would rub him and wash him,” documents say.

Patrons would reportedly pay a tip for any other activity. They would pay anywhere from $100 to $200 for full service, which was sexual intercourse.

The newly released documents also include a list of credit card transactions at several of the spas. The individual amounts charged to those cards range from $13 to $335. Numerous transactions from one person alone totaled more than $2,500.

KREM 2 chose not to post the Johns named in the court documents.
