SPOKANE, Wash.--Racing season was set to begin on Saturday at the Spokane County Raceway. It will be the first of ten “Mud Bog” events. Mud Bog racing is an off-road motor sport where cars attempt to sprint through a large pit of mud.
Officials said winners will be determined by who makes it through the new “Bog” located in the center of the Spokane County Raceway Oval Track. If more than one driver makes it, time to traverse is the tie breaker. Racers generally drive 4x4 vehicles through the bog.
The races are open to entry to anyone interested. Pit gates open at 10:00 a.m on April 19 with a $40 entry fee. Spectator gates open at 1:00 p.m and it costs $12 to enter.
