MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- A 27 year old Moses Lake man is recovering after being assaulted with a machete early Saturday.

Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call for a stabbing at 10318 County Road 16-NE around 3 a.m.

They found 27-year-old Agustin Jimenez with a deep wound in his left arm.

Officers learned 20 year old Jesus Adrian Jimenez had allegedly attacked Agustin with a machete.

Jesus had allegedly fled to a nearby field with a rifle and ammunition and the Moses Lake
Tactical Response Team was called in to search for him.

He apparently made his way back into the house where he was apprehended after a brief struggle with officers.

Jesus is being held in Grant County Jail on suspicion of first degree assault and domestic violence.

Agustin was treated by AMR paramedics and EMTs.  He was later transported to a local hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
