SPOKANE -- Officials with Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park say they will open for the season on Friday, November 27, one week ahead of schedule.

Officials are calling the event "White Friday" because of the amount of snow they received in the last week, and the day after Thanksgiving is traditionally called "Black Friday" for holiday shopping.

Both Schweitzer Mountain and Silver Mountain in North Idaho are scheduled to open on Friday as well.

49 Degrees North is open today and Tuesday.  The ski area will close Wednesday before opening again on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

Lookout Pass will reopen on Thursday as well, and begin its normal operating schedule from there on out.
