WORLEY, Idaho—Thanks to a generous donor and a keen eye, a family dog is back home in Worley, Idaho.

The Spottedblanket family said their dog Malone went missing back in December.  They thought he was gone forever until he was chosen as KREM 2’s Pick of the Litter.  “Max” as he was called, was featured during KREM 2 News at Noon as an adoptable pet through Spokanimal.

The family tuned into the show and saw Malone on TV.  They immediately piled in their car and took off to Spokanimal.  When they got there, they realized it would cost $80 to adopt Malone.  They weren’t prepared to pay the fee and almost went home without their beloved pet.  However, a generous stranger named Janet stepped in and paid the fee for the family.

The family said they have no idea how Malone got from Worley to Spokane.  The dog only spent 3 days at Spokanimal before being put up for adoption.  The family said they plan on taking Malone in next week to get microchipped.
