SPOKANE, Wash. – A father and son duo from a family with a military tradition got to perform in a special ceremony on Friday at Fairchild Air Force Base.

Kelly Colliton said he was so excited to help his son, Riley Colliton, enlists with the Air National Guard at Fairchild. On Friday, Kelly was able to lead his son through the oath.

“Amazing honor, absolutely one of the greatest days of my life,” said Kelly. "He's no longer a little boy, he's a young man."

Riley feels priviledged to join the military and get some assistance going to college.

"It's helping our country out, who doesn't want to serve and also it does help with school," said Rilley.

Rilley will start his monthly drills at Fairchild in May before he heads to basic training.
