CHENEY, Wash. -- The Spokane County Medical Examiner identified the victim of a Cheney homicide. An autopsy released on Tuesday confirmed that Erin (Roman) Michele Bailey, 46, died from a gunshot wound to the chest. The Medical Examiner ruled her death as a homicide.
Bailey’s body was one of two bodies found on March 30th inside a Cheney apartment building. Investigators said it was an apparent murder-suicide at the Rosebrook Inn apartments on West 1st Street.
Court documents shows that a suicide note and a handgun were found new Andrews’ body. Police believe that the two did not get along and that Andrews planned the shooting. Authorities found a pistol and two shell casings near the bodies.
A separate autopsy said that the male found in the apartment committed suicide. The Medical Examiner identified the male as David (Reena) J. Andrews, 66. Andrews died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators are working to piece together is the time-line and how long the two victims were inside. Investigators said the woman victim lived in room five. The man lived in room seven. Officials said that somebody reported that man missing on Friday.
