COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho.—A recent aerial photo released Wednesday shows the progress being made at McEuen Park. Work continued through wintry conditions in late January.
Officials said there was progress being made on electrical and carpentry work, elevator shafts and the stairways that will lift people from the sub-level parking structure to Front Avenue above.
“You may not see it, but there is a lot of interior building going on,” said project engineer Phil Boyd of Welch Comer Engineers.
Crews were continuing their preparation work to pour the last segment of sidewalk on the north side of Front Avenue between Fifth and Sixth streets.
The large and colorful play fixtures for the giant splash pad were moved to the site in late January and were expected to be installed soon.
The park is expected to open in May.
