SPOKANE, Wash.—Spokane Mayor Mary Verner released her plan for the city’s 2012 budget.
It includes a mix of revenue hikes and cuts to cove a $6.7 million shortfall. The mayor’s plan would freeze the street fund at last year’s level.
The plan also cuts operating expenses from the general fund budget and uses money from red-light camera tickets to pay for police services.
The mayor will submit her formal proposal by November.
