SPOKANE, Wash. -- Dozens more marathons and 12K Races are coming up over the weekend.

Seattle and Renton are getting ready for the Seahawks 12K Run at the Landing on Sunday.

Police in Seattle say there would be "cops all over the place."

Departments like Kent, Tukwila, and Auburn are also on stand-by in case anything happens.

Wenatchee, Washington is also preparing for it's full marathon and officials say there will be more officers than usual. They say there will be both firefighters and police officers on bikes riding throughout the marathon route.

The Bolder Boulder 10K and the Colfax Marathon held in Denver, Colorado in about a week and a half will also have a heavy police presence.

All of the authorities in all of these areas say they aren't worried about terrorist organizations bombing these local races but they can't discount tragedies like the Boston Bombings often spark copycats.
