SPOKANE, Wash.-- The Spokane Police Department asked the community for help tracking down a suspect wanted for assaulting a 62-year-old woman.
Investigators said it happened Sunday, just after 5 p.m., on the 900 block of E. 8th Ave.
The female victim said a man knocked on her door, but no one was there when she answered. She then saw the suspect walking out of her dining room carrying a camera. When she confronted the suspect, he hit her on the head.
The blow knocked the woman to the ground and the suspect continued to assault her repeatedly. The woman sustained significant injuries and had to be treated at a local hospital for her injuries.
Police have not been able to locate the suspect. He is described as a white male in his twenties, medium build, 5’10”, wearing a grey shirt and tan shorts. The suspect had sandy colored, shoulder length hair that was very straight.
