SPOKANE, Wash.-- Police arrested a Spokane man for allegedly stabbing two victims during an argument outside of a bar.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. at the Special K Tavern in the 3800 block of North Market.

A witness called police to report the suspect stabbed someone and fled on foot.

Officers arrived to find one victim with a serious stab wound to the neck, and another victim with a wound on the left side of his head. Witnesses told police the suspect, 42-year-old Donald Dyson, was arguing with the victims when he suddenly began stabbing them.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

Police found Dyson near Market and Courtland. They say Dyson threw a knife in a nearby field when he saw the officers. Police were able to locate the bloody weapon.

Dyson was belligerent and uncooperative when officers tried to detain him, according to police. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for two counts of first-degree assault.
