SPOKANE, Wash. -- Medics rushed one man to the hospital early Wednesday following a fight near the Gonzaga University campus in Spokane.
Authorities received a call around 4:30 a.m. for a report of a stabbing near Hamilton and Sharp. When they arrived, they found one man with a stab wound to his back. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Upon investigating, police say two groups were fighting before the man was stabbed. One of the groups took off before police arrived.
Police say the man who stabbed the victim is described as a short black man in his mid-forties. He was carrying a cane.
Police are using surveillance video from a nearby gas station in hopes of identifying the suspect.
