SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police investigated early Thursday how a robbery and beating case was connected to a gunshot victim.

It started just before 4:00 a.m. at the Apple Tree Inn near Division and Holland.
A call came into dispatchers about a robbery and beating inside a room, according to police.

Around the same time, a gunshot victim showed up in a taxi at a local hospital.  Officers believe the shooting also took place at the Apple Tree Inn. The victim told a witness at the motel that his room had been broken into and he was assaulted. The witness called police.

The male gunshot victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.  So far, police have not arrested any suspects.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
