MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- A young Moses Lake man died Monday after crashing his motorcycle.

Grant County authorities said Jonathan Jones, 28, wrecked hit motorcycle around 5:30 p.m. near 22nd Avenue Northeast, east of Patton Boulevard.  While going around a sweeping curve, Jones lost control of the bike, struck a curb, and was thrown from the motorcycle.  He struck a concrete block along the side of the road.

Bystanders and first responders found Jones unconscious and unresponsive.  They started CPR on him but he died a short time later at Samaritan Hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Motor Traffic Unit. Jones was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was destroyed.
