Man ditches motorcycle, leads Spokane deputies on chase

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Officers arrested a man early Tuesday after trying to flee from a traffic stop on a motorcycle.

It happened around 1 a.m. near Sprague Avenue, near University.

Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to pull over Yevgeniy Rudnitskiy, 25, but officers said he failed to stop.  He led them on a short pursuit which ended near 13th and Balfour, where Rudnitskiy ran from the scene.

Within minutes, deputies had set up a perimeter.  They quickly spotted Rudnitskiy and tracked him to an apartment complex near 9th and Walnut.
 
Rudnitskiy has two prior felony convictions for Eluding and several other entries as a suspect in Eluding incidents.  Rudnitskiy was booked into the Spokane County Jail for the felony charges of Eluding and Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.  His driving status was also suspended in the 2nd degree.
