HAUSER, Idaho--A man was cashing in on cooling off on Sunday. He was charging people $5 to park on his property at Hauser Lake.

"They park along the road and the cops give them tickets,” said Harry Watson.

Watson said he welcomed the heat on Sunday.

"Normally I just get a few cars. But today, there must be about 50 of them,” said Watson.

Watson said he made $50 to $100 on average on hot days. He admitted he did not need the money but said the extra cash did not hurt.

"Depends on how much beer I drink. So it varies,” said Watson.

Some said shelling out a few bucks for a closer parking spot is worth it when it comes to cooling off.
