SPOKANE, Wash.—Spokane police arrested the suspect for two attempted robberies within an hour of each other on Saturday night.
Police booked 24-year-old Joshua J. Roullier into Spokane County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Robbery. Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives believed Roullier was responsible for both attempted robberies, though they began an investigation into both incidents.
Police first received reports of an attempted robbery at around 9:30 p.m. at a Walgreens on Northwest Boulevard and Ash. Police said the suspect tried to steal alcohol from the store and pulled out a gun when he was confronted. Police said the suspect fled, but witnesses were able to give the officers a good description of the suspect.
Police said less than one hour later, a man attempted to steal alcohol and displayed a gun to loss prevention officers at a Safeway near N. Alberta and W. Wellesley. Those officers said the suspect ran behind the store and climbed into a motorhome.
Police surrounded the motorhome, where they found Rouiller.
