SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police said they arrested a man Monday morning after he fired a gun at a building in Downtown Spokane.
At 2:30 Monday morning, police got a call about shots fired near the intersection of N. Division and N. Browne. The caller said several suspects were firing shots into the ground in the parking lot near the Chili’s and were seen heading toward Travelodge.
Authorities said they were just a block away when they heard the shots being fired. Police secured the area and located the suspects. Officers detained three men matching the description of the individuals accused of firing shots.
Police arrested Shawn Denman, 31, in the parking lot of the Travelodge. Denamn was booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He will appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Monday.
After searching the scene, officers determined shots had been fired at the nearby Morris and Morris Law Firm building. Bullet holes can be seen in the wall of the building.
No one was injured.
