SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Spokane County deputies arrested a man after a standoff early Sunday morning.

Deputies were responding to a call about an argument and gun shots heard in the parking lot of the Sullivan Court Apartments on the 500 block of S. Sullivan Road around 3 a.m. They arrived on the scene and detained two men who were trying to leave the complex. The men told deputies they were in a residence where an argument broke out with another man who was later identified as Justin Roberson, 32.

Officials say Roberson had a felony warrant for his arrest for a weapons violation charge and he had possibly pointed a weapon at the two men in the parking lot.

Deputies say because of Roberson's history the complex was secured and SWAT personnel, the Bomb Squad and Sheriff's Office hostage negotiators responded to the scene.

Roberson was taken into custody at 6:20 a.m. without incident. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for the felony warrant.

The investigation is ongoing. No was injured during the incident.
