SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities responded to a standoff around 12:30 Friday morning near Post and Garland.
SWAT team members swarmed a home after a man barricaded himself inside a unit inside a triplex.
Police said a woman living at the home had a protection order against the suspect. Officials learned the suspect was possibly armed with a shotgun and a rifle. Then, they call the SWAT team.
Authorities quickly evacuated other people living in the building. Then, police contacted the suspect using a blow horn. Minutes later, they were able to coax the man out of the house safely.
Police have not released the suspect’s identity. The incident lasted a few hours.
There were no reports of any injuries.
