MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. -- Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies detained a man for questioning after authorities said screaming on the other end of a 911 call led investigators to a mobile home park Tuesday morning.

The 911 call came in around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to authorities.  The woman was heard asking for help and she mentioned a firearm.  A male’s voice was also heard before the call was disconnected, according to authorities.

The location of the call was traced to a mobile home park off State Route 902 and Bartholomew Road.  Deputies heard a male yelling and a female screaming from inside a small trailer behind a barn.  Deputies said they tried to make contact with the couple inside the home, but they were not cooperating.  A SWAT negotiator was then called to the scene.

Fearing the female was in danger and being held against her will, authorities made entry into the home and detained the man inside.  The Sheriff’s Office said Derwood Sannin, 54, was arrested and faced charges for unlawful imprisonment of his girlfriend.  The woman was uninjured and cooperative.  The case was being investigated as a domestic violence dispute.
Detectives were also seeking a search warrant to search the home for evidence.
