HAYDEN, Idaho – Investigators are trying to figure out how a lit gas can ended up under a travel trailer in Hayden, Idaho Sunday night.
A family that lived in the home found flames spewing from the gas can.
Shane Creech was home alone with his kids at the time. He quickly grabbed a garden hose and a tarp, which he used to smother the flames.
No one was hurt.
Creech said the incident started Saturday when he spotted a man speeding through his trailer park. The two exchanged words. Creech is certain the man came back to set the fire Sunday, but investigators say he is wrong. They interviewed the man and said he had a solid alibi.
Detectives said the fire is suspicious.
