LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. -- A man accused of driving under the influence while driving a golf cart has resolved his case in court.

The driver told KREM2 he plead guilty to negligent driving in regards to the case last week. That charge comes with fines and no jail time.

The driver said he shared his story with us so other drivers were made aware it is possible to get a DUI while driving a golf cart. KREM 2 News also learned it can happen if a driver is over the legal limit and behind the wheel of a motorized lawn mower or moped.

Officials said this was the third ever golf cart DUI case in Liberty Lake.
