The power is back on for all 1,800 Spokane Valley residents who lost service Saturday afternoon.
A Vera Water & Power spokesperson says the power went out at 1:11 p.m. after a kite flew into a feeder at Broadway and Mamer.
Approximately 700 customers had their power restored at 2:45 p.m. The remaining 1,100 customers regained power at 5:00 p.m.
Customers were unable to reach anyone at the company for at least an hour Saturday because of overloaded phone lines. Vera Water & Power headquarters was also affected by the power outage.
