SPOKANE -- A very generous person gave to the KREM Cares: Help 2 Haiti fundraiser Friday morning.

KREM Cares: Help 2 Haiti is a partnership among KREM 2, the Inland Northwest chapter of the American Red Cross and Clear Channel Radio efforting help and donations to the victim's of the deadly 7.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti Tuesday.

At about 8:30 Friday morning, a guest staying at the Doubletree Hotel gave $10,000 to the bellman with instructions to give it all to the KREM Cares: Help 2 Haiti effort.  The woman wished to remain anonymous.

Right now and until 7:00 p.m. Friday we invite you to go to one of two locations in Spokane to drop off your cash donation that will go directly to the victims, struggling to find basic needs, food, water, and medical care.

Red Cross volunteers are collecting at Clear Channel Radio at 808 East Sprague in Downtown Spokane, or here at KREM 2's studio on Spokane's South Hill, 4103 South Regal.

"When I first saw it, it took my breath away", said bellman Luke Raynor.

According to Raynor, the woman wants to help the children in Haiti.

It's like my Grandmother used to say, If someone is cold and ask you for your shirt give them your coat. Then if you are in need someday there will be someone to help you. Give.
