SPOKANE, Wash. -- Jurors convicted a Spokane man on Thursday of a deadly 2011 shooting at the Quality Inn. 

John Castro was convicted of 2nd Degree Intentional Murder, 2nd Degree Felony Murder, Felony Riot, and 1st Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm according to Judicial Assistant Lisa Gurkowski.

Castro, 27, shot and killed Jose Solis Jr., 21. Investigators said Castro and a group of friends shot and killed Solis at the Quality Inn during a fight.

He faces possible life in prison if convicted under the Three Strikes Law according to police. Court records show Castro has nine felony convictions including robbery, assault and attempt to elude.
