SPOKANE, Wash—An intoxicated man crossing a freeway on-ramp in Downtown Spokane was hit by a car Saturday night and taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
The intoxicated man, 48-year-old Vasco V. Blackburn, was crossing the on-ramp to I-90 East near the Maple St. exit around 7 p.m. according to Washington State Patrol.
Police said a man driving a pick-up truck hit Blackburn, who was wearing dark clothing in the crosswalk.
Blackburn was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Officials closed the I-90 on-ramp for about an hour.
Police said charges were still pending Saturday night.
