SPOKANE, VALLEY, Wash. -- Authorities said someone broke into the IHOP at Spokane Valley Mall Monday and stole cash from the restaurant.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, an employee who had arrived at 5:30 a.m. to open the restaurant discovered the rear door was unlocked. There were no other unlocked doors and there was no forced entry into the business, investigators said.
Inside the office, a safe had been opened and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, according to deputies.
There were no suspects as of Tuesday morning.
