MOSES LAKE, Wash.—Highway 17 is closed South of Moses Lake until at least 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.  A detour was being provided and the Washington State Patrol said delays were expected.

WSP said the highway was closed between Road M-SE and State Route 262 because of a tanker that crashed into the bridge over Lind coulee around 6:00 a.m.

The Washington Department of Ecology spent the day removing ethanol from the overturned tanker. They estimated that 6,000 gallons of ethanol needed to be removed. A crane was brought in to move the tanker.
