OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash.— With devastation and heartbreak comes commitment and kindness. The Carlton Complex and other fires burning throughout Washington have destroyed homes and cause untold damage within it's thousands of scorched acreage.

DONATE ONLINE: Send money to wildfire victims with #Help2Wa

However, the people of the Inland Northwest have responded through volunteerism and donations.  The #Help2WA campaign is a joint effort between KREM 2, the American Red Cross, and business partners throughout the region. The rebuilding process is just beginning and KREM 2 is committed to helping with the process. The #Help2WA campaign will be an ongoing effort to collect monetary donations for those most in need throughout the state of Washington.

Big thank you to all of those people who have already donated working with Rosauers, STCI, & area Dutch Bros. Coffee thousands of dollars have been raised. We are working with the American Red Cross on tracking the funds and will periodically update the numbers.
Currently, the Red Cross is only collecting monetary donations. With infrastructure so impacted in fire areas it's difficult to transport and distribute large quantities of donated items.  We've made it simple to give money. The American Red Cross says 97% of the monetary donation goes to the mission while only 3% is used for overhead.
We'll update this page with different locations accepting HELP2WA donations.  Thanks for giving!
STCU:  With 17 locations STCU is easily accessible and taking cash or checks. Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross and earmarked for the HELP2WA (or Washington wildfire) campaign in the memo line. STCU is collecting money while major wildfires continue to burn in Central Washington.  We will update you on any changes. STCU members can directly transfer funds from their accoun to #Help2WA.

Coeur d'Alene Casino & Resort: The casino and resort will collect cash and checks through Wednesday. July 30th.

KREM.com: You can give by credit card on KREM.com. This link will give the money directly to the American Red Cross and earmark it for #Help2WA. That money is to be used only for Washington wildfire disaster relief.
