SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- The first marijuana store opened in Spokane Valley Friday.
Despite opening almost two months after other weed selling stores, Sativa Sister General Manager, Eric Skaar, is happy.
“We're happy with when we're opening, we would have liked to open a little bit earlier but we think them opening up is just bringing more people into the area," said Skaar.
But unlike any other stores, Sativa Sisters will sell a gram of marijuana between $13 to $25 and include a coffee shop inside.
The new store will be opened seven days a week and does not think it will need to close due to their supply running out.
Staff is focused on getting pot from local growers and making it available to as many people possible. There will be separate suppliers for edibles and will be available to purchase within the next couple of weeks.
