NORTH IDAHO--The blast of winter weather is creating slick roads in the Silver Valley.
Parts of I-90 are slick and slushy because of freezing rain and snow falling all day near the 4th of July Pass. The roads were so slick at one point Friday morning, investigators say a car slid off the road and crashed into a creek. Nobody was hurt in the crash.
Police say this is one of at least ten slide-offs since the snow settled in last night across the Panhandle.
Nickerson Towing driver Chad Nickerson says pulling cars out of a weather related jam is nothing new this time of year, but they haven’t been common so far this winter. That could soon change, however, with the bitter cold and snow starting to stick around in North Idaho.
