COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Son of a legend and racer in his own right, Kyle Petty is slowing things down to take a cross country tour.

He planned to lead 175 other motorcyclists on a multi-state ride for the 19th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Ride.

On Saturday, the group will depart from Coeur D’Alene on a seven day trip ending in Tempe, Arizona.

The 2,100 mile ride raises funds and awareness for Victory Junction.  It is a camp created to enrich the lives of children with chronic medical illnesses.
