WEST NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. - A fire destroyed a home along West Newman Lake in eastern Spokane County Monday morning.
The call came into firefighters around 9:30 a.m. When firefighters arrived the cabin was engulfed in flames and some nearby trees had also started on fire.
Firefighters had a difficult time putting the fire out because it was at the base of a steep hill along the lake.
All that was left was a lawnmower and a canoe outside the home.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
