VALLEYFORD, Wash. -- A barn burned to the ground early Thursday near Valleyford, Washington.
The homeowner had called for help around 4 a.m. after his dogs woke him up and he realized the barn was on fire.
When fire crews arrived, flames shot from the building near Drumheller Road and South Darknell.
The homeowner drove a truck out of the barn but other pieces of machinery were destroyed.
“My motorcycle, that makes me a little bit sad. My tractor really makes me sad. But you know what, I've got my wife, kids and my house is still okay,” said homeowner Barry Baker.
Baker estimated his loss to be around $100,000.
