PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Idaho -- A traffic stop Saturday afternoon landed an escaped inmate back behind bars.

A deputy stopped a car near Camden road and State Route 2 and authorities said Ryan Apling, 29, who escaped from the county jail last month, was a passenger in the car.

Officers believe he got out of the recreation yard by climbing several fences topped with razor wire.

Apling was re-taken into custody, along with the driver and another passenger for rendering criminal assistance.
