SPOKANE, Wash—Fire crews evacuated the Wells Fargo Downtown Saturday after an electrical transformer sparked a fire and set off the smoke detector.

The call received a full response and six fire trucks temporarily blocked traffic according to The Spokane Fire Department.

Crews located the source of the problem in an electrical box on the 15th floor of the building and stabilized it within one hour according to fire officials.

Spokane Fire Department officials said the smoke detector shut the ventilation system down immediately, preventing a bigger fire and reducing potential smoke damage.

No one was injured in the incident.
