Police are asking for the public’s help in locating an elderly Everett woman reported missing last Wednesday.

Family members believe Ethel A. O’Neil, 89, drove herself to the Everett Mall at about 2 p.m. on July 16 but never returned home. While she doesn’t suffer from any serious medical conditions, family members say she is showing early signs of dementia.

Community tips indicate O’Neil was last seen in the Lake Stevens / Marysville area on Wednesday afternoon, where she asked for a map and directions back to Everett.

O’Neil drives a baby-blue 1987 Chevy Nova (WA-ADP6803), which has not been located.

Detectives are focusing their search on the Snohomish County area.

If you have any information you are asked to call 911.
