SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Friday night belonged to Tiffany Allen.

Tiffany, who has Down syndrome, was crowned as East Valley High School’s new Junior Homecoming Queen at Friday’s football game against the Colville Indians.  Allen was chosen out of a group of 20 girls in her class.

As the announcement was made and Allen was crowned, shouts of “Tiffany, Tiffany, Tiffany” could be heard from the crowd.  People lined up to congratulate her as she walked off the field.  Another group of Tiffany’s friends greeted her again with cheers as she re-entered the school.

“We love you Tiffany,” said one classmate.

“It just means so much to me that East Valley did this for her," Allen’s mother added.

Tiffany and her family also said they planned to keep celebrating Tiffany's crown Saturday when she attends the homecoming dance.
