MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. -- First responders worked early Friday to rescue a woman trapped in her car on Interstate 90 near Medical Lake.
Shortly before 6 a.m., a woman hit a guardrail, between the Geiger and Medical Lake exit, flipping her car upside down, according to Washington State Patrol. The wreck forced two other cars to slide into each other.
The woman was trapped in the overturned car for about an hour before crews could extricate her. The woman managed to escape with only minor injuries, according to troopers. No other injuries were reported in the wreck.
The incident snarled traffic, backing up cars for at least three miles on I90 eastbound. There was no word whether any charges would be filed against the driver.
