SPOKANE -- A man spent an hour in his car that teetered on the edge of an embankment before calling 911.
It happened just north of the intersection of Thorpe and Assembly around 6:45 p.m. Monday.
The driver said he was traveling down a dirt road when the sun suddenly got into his eyes. He veered to the left and slide partly off the road. He said he tried to get out but every time he opened his door, the car slowly started to slid. He eventually called 911.
Rescue crews carefully got him out. He was not hurt.
